One Time Cleaning and Laundry In early 2006, RISA provided a $3,000 grant to One Time Cleaning and Laundry RISA’s grant allowed One Time - the only locally-owned and woman-owned corporate cleaning company in the low-income community of Atlantis - to purchase the industrial-scale washer and dryer needed for the company to compete for large factory uniform-cleaning contracts. After receiving the small business capacity-building grant from RISA, One Time landed its first large corporate contract. Until recently, the stark factories that crowded the Atlantis landscape went outside of the community for suppliers and service contracts. One Time changed that. One Time beat out larger cleaning businesses vying for a contract with one of Atlantis’ biggest factories. A grant from RISA purchased a new washer and dryer for One Time, grew their capacity, and as a result, helped them secure this contract. Thanks to One Time’s increased capacity afforded by the RISA-funded equipment, local factories will hopefully continue to use local resources and, with One Time’s help, contribute even more to the growth of the local economy.
